In 2010 I met and started to photograph a group of Eritrean migrants living in Palermo. I found out that most of them had a family member or friends who
had also travelled from Africa to Europe. Tragically, many of them had disappeared soon after setting off from Libya. I asked to see photos of these missing people and eventually collected these precious images of people who never reached their final destination.
