The title of this still life series comes from the French King Louis XIV, who was nicknamed the Sun King. This is fitting because all of the images shown were taken on Polaroid film, which requires a lot of light to perform appropriately. Therefore, similar to Josef Sudek's work, all photos were taken on my windowsill, from this perspective, or with the light coming in from the window. Although all photographs were taken more or less from the same location or angle, the light and shadow plays create completely independent images that are not repetitive, even though they were photographed from the same fixed point.
